Institute of Broadcasting & Mass Media is run by, Vidarbha Vikas Women and Child Development Education Trust. It was founded in 1995. Maharashtra government has recognized the Vidarbha Vikas trust’s work in the field of women and child development and conferred 3 state level awards by the hands of Honourable Chief Minister honourable Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for respective departments.

There are 3 colleges run by the trust. They are affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. Akola college of journalism, Mass Communication and social work, Ma Anusaya junior Science College, Ma Anusaya School of Nursing are the 3 Institutes running under Vidarbha Vikas trust. Radio 90.4 cotton city akola, Dainik Navyugwani, are running under the umbrella of A.C.J.M.C.

The Vidarbha Vikas trust is devoted to skill development of the youth of India. Honourable Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Maharashtra state has given importance to skill development programs. To increase the participation of youth in overall development of the country is the motto behind this. Vidarbha Vikas Trust contributes in this noble cause through its unique skill development programs.
